Beyond Words Pediatric Speech Therapy is owned and operated by Emily Sovine, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana, with over 20 years' experience working with the pediatric population. She received her master's degree from Michigan State University and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence as a nationally certified Speech Language Pathologist through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Emily has provided assessment and treatment in a variety of settings including acute care, private and public schools, and was a First Steps provider. She specializes in speech sound disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, selective mutism, childhood apraxia of speech, language-related cognitive deficits, and feeding disorders. Emily is trained in the PROMPT method, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, and is Interactive Metronome Certified.
